The much anticipated Afrisportpro youth league kicked off today in Kano state, Nigeria.
So many football faithfuls graced the occasion including the Assistant manager of the Super Eagles and current head coach of Kano Pillars Daniel Ogunmodede and his coaching staff, three games was played today and a total of 17 goals was scored which paved way for the excitement that is set to come all through the league and also further promoting the mantra which has always been for young footballers to be able to express themselves on the football pitch.
The league started as early as 8:30 am on Thursday morning at the Breakthrough Stadium with Breakthrough FA clinching a resounding 3-1 win over Dream big FA, Wasiu Ahmed scored the opener after 16 mins but that wasn't enough as Bala, Mohammed and Bello scored in 16 second half minutes to turn the game around.
The second game between ATK and Clever Warriors ended in a score akin to a basketball scoreline but so much praise has to go the attackers who was unplayable, Mukhtar Idris, Abdullahi Amadu and Naziru Yusuf were all one goal shy of the match ball in a game that ended 5-4 in favour of ATK.
In the third game despite Isah's 2nd half brace Bees academy and BA Boys both shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw as a day filled with excitement, goals and entertainment came to an end.
